Shijiazhuang Tiedao University (STDU) was established in 1950, the predecessor of Chinese People's Liberation Army Railway Engineering Institute. The university is located in Shijiazhuang city, the capital of Heibei province. It only takes one hour by high-speed train to travel from Shijiazhuang to Beijing. The university has been enrolling students from all over the country who are qualified for first-batch enrollment based on their performance in the College Entrance Examination. Currently, it has 28,000 full-time students, including 2,700 postgraduates and more than 230 international students.
